Clayton Hotel Glasgow

The hotel staff was absolutely amazing. They helped with our luggage, checking and even recommended places to eat. The room was clean and the bedding was so cozy. I appreciated how the staff was always welcoming when we came in on late nights. I would absolutely stay at this particular hotel again and I would recommend it to my friends.

Perfect location near the shopping area, as well as being by the open space with river views. Had a lovely sunset view over the river from our bedroom. Hotel had a lovely atmosphere, lots of different lounge rooms to sit and relax. Could have easily spent a day just sitting in the hotel. Fab decore. Our room was very clean, organised and loved having an iron and board and a working hairdryer unlike other hotels we've been in. We would love to come back again.

Lovely hotel and a great stay, but a few small things could have made a big difference. The positives: Our room was great - spacious, with a fabulous view & a really comfy bed, and the Tunnocks wafers on the first day were a real bonus. The hotel is stunning & the old building is beautifully blended with the new more modern additions. Bar area is stylish & has a good vibe. The less positive: Our visit was for my birthday, which the hotel was made aware of at booking, but there was no acknowledgement of this during our stay which was disappointing. With seven of us staying at the hotel we asked if we needed to book a table for breakfast & were told no, it wouldn’t be a problem, but each morning we struggled to find a suitable table to all sit together. The breakfast buffet could be improved, whilst there is a reasonable selection, the area is small for the number of people trying to serve themselves. The food would benefit from more frequent replenishment as some things were not always available. Muesli to go with the fruit & yoghurt would be good, as would a better selection of pastries & individual honey pots rather than a messy, almost empty communal jar. In the rooms the water pressure, particularly in the hand held shower attachment could be better. There are also quite a few stairs to carry your bags up & down to get into the hotel & to the lifts.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. Our room overlooked the River Clyde. We were in the heart of Glasgow and very close to public transportation, although there were plenty of activities within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was excellent. We hope to have a chance to visit again.

Amazing hotel, very clean, professional. Amazing customer service. Great comfy beds and nice clean rooms and decent room service. The bar is also exquisite. They make Amazing drinks and are very good on customer service. Highly recommend

It is often a jackpot when you find a hotel that matches your needs. Very clean, tidy and great decore. Hotel felt welcoming with attentive staff. Location was perfect for city centre. Had a view of the river, with a sunset each evening. Bed and pillows were exactly how I like it. Slept so well. Which is very rare for me.

Amazing hotel. Staff very nice. Manuel , the night manager is a super star when it comes to customer care and professionalism . Went out of his way to help me with my food delivery options. I felt at so much ease with him.. a dedicated manager who understands clients needs and values them sincerely. 7 stars to Manuel .. He is an asset. Clayton hotel us an amazing place to stay. You can't go wrong.

This was our second stay in the hotel and it won't be our last. We received a friendly welcome and our room was ready well before check-in time. Our room was lovely with a fantastic view. Our beds were very comfortable, tea/coffee/bottled water and biscuits restocked daily. We ate in the bar and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
